RipIQ ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the RipIQ mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. If you pair an Apple Watch with RipIQ, the App uses Apple's HealthKit framework to run a workout session that keeps your Watch's motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) active while a swing-tracking session is armed, including when the Watch display is off or your wrist is lowered between swings. This is the only use of HealthKit in the App.

We share video frame data with Anthropic, PBC (provider of the Claude AI API) solely to perform swing analysis. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy at anthropic.com/privacy. We use Railway (railway.app) to host our backend server infrastructure.
We use PostHog (posthog.com/privacy) to collect anonymous, aggregate usage analytics. PostHog receives event data such as whether an analysis was completed or a paywall was shown. No video content, player names, or personally identifiable information is included in analytics events.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy.
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of RipIQ, our users, or others.
Swing analysis results, your player name, and your profile photo are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and standard iOS file storage. We do not maintain a user account database or store personal information (including profile photos) on our servers beyond what is necessary to process each individual analysis request.
Your Swing Report Card is generated entirely on your device. No report card data is transmitted to our servers. When you choose to share a report card, you export it directly from your device using the system share sheet.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted HTTPS connections for all data transmission. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
RipIQ is designed to be used by baseball players of all ages, including children under 13, under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The App does not require account creation and stores all personal data locally on the device.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children's use of the App and any videos submitted for analysis. If you believe a child has submitted information without appropriate supervision, please contact us at the address below.
Because RipIQ stores all swing history, player profile, and photo data locally on your device, you can delete all app data at any time by deleting the App from your device. This permanently removes all locally stored swing records, analysis results, profile information, and profile photos.
You can remove your profile photo at any time within the App from the Profile tab without uninstalling the App.
You can revoke the App's access to your camera or photo library at any time through your device's Settings → Privacy & Security menu. Revoking camera access will prevent you from recording swing videos. Revoking photo library access will prevent you from uploading videos or setting a profile photo.
You can revoke the App's HealthKit permission at any time through Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, or from within the Health app. Revoking this permission means the App can no longer keep swing-tracking sensors active on your Watch when its display is off or your wrist is lowered; it does not affect any other part of the App.
You can manage or cancel your RipIQ Pro subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings or the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We do not retain video data on our servers after an analysis request is completed. Swing analysis results stored on your device are retained until you delete them or uninstall the App. Server logs may be retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the Effective Date at the top of this policy and, for material changes, by posting a notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
